Responsible Gaming

You set the terms of your own gambling, and this page offers practical habits for keeping it entertainment. It also explains what this site can and cannot do when you want to slow down or stop.

How much should I decide to spend before I start?

Pick a fixed amount before you open any game, and treat it as already spent, like the price of a cinema ticket. A number chosen in advance is made with a clear head. A number chosen mid-session is made under the pull of the last win or loss. If you are going to set a cap, set it in your account at the destination, before you play.

Why shouldn't I try to win back what I lost?

Chasing a loss turns a bad night into a bigger one. Each game's outcome is independent of the last, so a losing streak does not make a win more likely. Raising stakes to recover only increases the amount you can lose.

Is it ever reasonable to gamble with borrowed money?

Keep gambling out of credit, loans and money set aside for bills. Borrowed money adds repayments and interest to every loss, and the pressure to repay feeds the urge to chase.

Why do breaks and other people matter?

Stepping away regularly lets you notice how long you have played and how you feel about it. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, tell someone you trust early. Another person can notice changes you might explain away.

Where can I find independent help?

This page, like every page on this site, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • NCPG

These are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow them.

What can't this site do for me?

This site is a set of static files. It has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce any spending or play control. You arrange deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion inside your own account at the operator's site.

Nobody's age is verified here, and no gambling takes place on this site. Any age check happens at the destination. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at you based on how you play.
